FAQ
Check the frequent question about AIDIN's product
A. We are using the standard CAN 2.0A protocol. For details on the data packet and output format, Please refer to section 2.4 Communication in the manual.
A. It send out the data with two ID, assigning each ID from 3-axis power and 3-axis torque. Basically, the set-up is 0x1A,1B (Decimal number 26,27), You could set on the ID you request to order.
A. It's possible to change AFT200(Smart 6 axis F/T Sensor) and ATSB(Ultra-thin Joint Torque Sensor) through the order from CAN communication. However, In Miniature 6 aixs F/T Sensor, You could only set the set-up due to the problem, capacity of inner chip. If you want to change it, Please send your product to our office to implement them.
A . If you arrange CAN line in a row, you could collect the data from multiple sensors using a single CAN type device. Please check the information, The connection of multiple sensors in manual. The Miniature 6 axis F/T senosor could output data up to 100bps, When using a all-type CAN-to-USB device (1 Mbps), you can connect up to 10 devices with a single unit. If you wish to use multiple sensors, you need to pre-assign the CAN IDs.
A. Due to the sensor's structure and size, the AFT-MINI does not support waterproofing. Please be caution when using it in humid environments or near liquids.
A. In order to accommodate various users' environments, the device is provided without internal CAN termination resistors. Please connect a item of 60-120 ohms between the CAN HIGH and CAN LOW lines. If you are using multiple sensors, apply one 120-ohm resistor at each end (for a total of 2) or a single 60-ohm resistor.
A. This item is fixed at a sampling rate of 100 Hz. Only the larger AFT200-D80 and ATS series support up to 1 kHz
A. Resolution is the smallest unit that can be distinguished/measured. The values below the specified resolution can be considered noise. Repeatability is the degree to which the same load is measured multiple times. Accuracy indicates the range of error between the sensor's measurement and the true value.
A. You can apply filters to reduce the noise of a sensor. This item typically don't have built-in filtering functions, so you need to apply it externally. Commonly, used filters include moving average filters or low pass filters. The resolution specified in the spec table includes noise, so by reducing noise through filter, you can acheive effective resolution.
A. We provide FFC-DIP conversion boards available for purchase in the market for testing purposes. You can purcahse one online not additional unit.
A. It consists of a D-SUB 9P connector for CAN connections and a USB cable for power. Please connect the D-SUB connector to the CAN device, and connect the USB port to a PC or a power supply (including chargers) for 5V power input.
A. Yes, we recommend tightening all the bolts. However, To prevent any damage, please tighten them with a torque of 0.1 Nm or less."
A. The sample program we provide is based on IXXAT's CAN-to-USB converter and can only run on Windows. However, sample code will also be provided for Linux and in C/C++/Python programming languages.
A. We expect to provide within this third quarter.
